Website analytics
PETCOME uses first-party, cookie-free analytics to understand which pages are visited and to protect the website from abuse. When your browser does not send a Do Not Track signal, we may process the requested page, visit time, and Internet Protocol (IP) address.
Why we process this information
- Measure aggregate website usage and improve educational content.
- Investigate abnormal traffic, fraud, attacks, and service errors.
- Maintain the security and availability of the website.
Where applicable, this processing is based on our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service. Applicable legal grounds may vary by jurisdiction.
Retention and protection
Full IP addresses are encrypted at rest, accessible only to authorised Owner or Administrator accounts, and automatically deleted after 30 days. Daily page totals that no longer contain an IP address may be retained for longer-term aggregate reporting. We do not use analytics cookies and do not store the browser User-Agent for this purpose.
Service providers
Website hosting and database providers may process this information on our behalf to operate the service. Access is limited to what is necessary for hosting, security, maintenance, and storage.
Your choices and rights
You can enable Do Not Track in your browser to prevent PETCOME's first-party analytics request. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection regarding your personal data.
